COMPONENTS
Build Mambo
When assembled correctly, the Mambo drone will contain the seven (7) following components:
Airframe
The airframe is the main body of the drone and every other component attaches to it.
Motors
The Mambo Drone has [4] motors:
[2] Motor [C].
[2] Motor [A].
Together they are responsible for rotating the props to provide lift.
Motors [A] spin in an anti-clockwise (counter clockwise) direction and motors [C] spin in a clockwise direction.
PCB [Printed Circuit Board]
The PCB is the brain of the drone and responsible for all controls. The PCB contains multiple sensors, connection ports, and a vertical camera.
Body Panels
The Body Panels are the sum of [4] shield parts that once installed provide [2] functions:
Protect the PCB [Printed Circuit Board], keep it clean and safe.
Provide a stylish look for the drone.
Propellers [props]
Propellors provide thrust for the drone.
There are [4] propellers in total:
[2] rotate clockwise [C].
[2] rotate anti-clockwise [A].
Because they turn in different directions - the propellors that go on A motors and C motors are not the same. There are two of each in your pack. One white A, one black A, one white C and one black C. Look at them carefully and see if you can tell what is different about them. We will identify them more carefully later in the build.
Prop Guards
There are FOUR prop guards on the drone, and each is positioned around a propeller to protect the blade.
Battery
The Mambo battery is the power source of the drone.
Airfoil
A body (such as an airplane wing or propeller blade) designed to provide a desired reaction force when in motion relative to the surrounding air
Airframe
The Airframe is the main body of the drone that every other component attaches to
Anti-Clockwise [A]
Anti-Clockwise (or Counter Clockwise) [A] motion is one that proceeds in the opposite direction as a clock's hands
Battery
Energy source used to supply power to the drone
Clockwise [C]
Clockwise [C] motion is one that proceeds in the same direction as a clock's hands
Firmware
Firmware is permanent software programmed into a read-only memory
Gimbal
The mechanism that allows for different position of the camera on the drone
Micro-USB
a miniaturized version of the Universal Serial Bus interface which enables the direct charging of the drone's battery
Motor
A motor is powered by electricity that supplies motive power for moving parts
PCB
A Printed Circuit Board is a board design with a base board and copper traces to maintain connectivity between electronic components such as LED's, integrated circuits, and resistors for your devices
Propeller Twist
A differece in angle between the blade at its tip, and at the point where it meets the propller hub
Propellers
Mechanical device for propelling an aircraft or boat, consisting of a revolving shaft with two or more broad, angled blades attached to it
